Just in case anyone else runs into the problem I had, the later 43mm forks seems to have two types of damper rod, the RaceTech Gold Emulators sometimes don't fit the end of the Damper Rod, if you file the lip off and 0.5mm if the material behind it, it fits a treat. Apparently you can make a spacer but I found this easier.

Thanks for the info, I spoke to TW Suspension earlier and he recommended filing it down, I also spoke to someone who did this to his bandit and was told the same thing, he apparently tested this and said it made no noticeable difference in the real world between the spacer and filling the lip off. I may make some spacers at a later date, drop them in and see for myself.
