Slave cylinder

Folks,

Does the flat side of the crankcase seal face the slave cylinder or the other way around? I did mine a while ago and I don't remember. I have a friend of mine with an '88 whose rebuilding it and for the life of me I can't remember. I sure as hell am not going to tear into mine to find out.

Yes. Flat side faces slave cylinder.
