Vented Armored Pants

My Joe Rocket Alter-ego jacket gives me ample ventilation with the liners removed but my cheapo armored pants are a true sauna. Any feedback on armored pants that provide decent ventilation? I was looking online at Scorpion and Joe Rocket products that seem to be the ticket but I'd appreciate hearing opinions on comfort, fit, and durability.

I have a pair of Alpinestar mesh armored pants and am happy w/their performance in South FL. I use them w/nylon gym shorts or bicycling pants w/o the crotch pad in the bicycling pants. Plenty of ventilation! Not cheap but well-made. I tried a larger size after readng they run small. Glad I did as the sizing is very small. They have lots of storage & access to the pants/shorts you wear under them.
