81 Seca rear end

Found this while searching for Venture differentials. Came off of an 81 XJ750
81 YAMAHA XJ750 SECA FINAL DRIVE DIFFERENTIAL

I know it is almost a certainty that it would not be the same... but I cannot help but wonder. Would this diff work with the Vmax? Looks damn close to me.

Not even close. BUT, the ratio is a 20% difference and the gears are smaller. So, you'll have great cruising but shit acceleration and easier to break.

Guessing there are numerous not visable differences that make it so it wouldn't work... I guess I shall have to keep looking.

Tell me something new. I think I have been nominated more then the president. Almost unfair since we have 100+ degree weather here. Probably just send some money in anyway and eventually do the deal.
