Clutch cover removal

Hey All,
Squaring things away before I install the Double D and my new Nash Flash. Does the foot brake lever have to come off To remove the clutch cover. It looks like it does but I didn’t know if there was enough wiggle room.

Doesn't have to......it is a little easier if it does. Just mark it with a marker so you get in in the same position on the spline.

If this is the first time the cover is off you probably won't need a new gasket, if it comes apart clean. I had mine off 3 times with the original gasket still in place.

Also do the work on the side stand so that you don't dump any oil.
