DALLAS - A speeding motorcyclist struck the back of a rock hauler on southbound I-45 shortly after midnight, police say, with fatal consequences.
The unidentified man was knocked off his bike, but the motorcycle itself was wedged beneath the 18-wheeler's back tires and was dragged until the driver managed to stop around Loop 12.
The motorcyclist was run over by several other cars on the freeway and died at the scene.
Since the semi driver was going the proper speed and does not appear to be at fault for the accident, charges will most likely not be filed.
