Hey Everyone

Would an 86 Venture flywheel be lighter than a 85-92 Max? Can they be swapped?

If they can be swapped, which one would work better in a 1327 venture motor with max ported heads and Max cams going into a Max frame? I'll be using a venture transmission.

The venture flywheels are FAR FAR heavier! They can however be swapped into the 85-89 engines. A drag bike or one with a blower on it can benefit from the heavier flywheel as they retain inertia. A street bike will be smoother cruising with it but not rev as quickly up and down.

The venture trans is very similar in ratio to the vmax but built like the 85 vmax transmissions that had the recall problems. We've not personally had any issues with them in our basic 1300 builds for customers but still something to be aware of. You can update the trans with a new 2-3 gear and fifth gears.
