hey guys , im considering a front wheel upgrade ,Iam thinking a 17inch front wheel of off a yam r1 discs incuded ,this will give me a much wider choise in tyres ,not to mention the reduction in rotating mass . what do ya rekon?

You'll need to upgrade the rear wheel as well.

In fact, I'd upgrade the rear first. You can get radial tires that will fit on the stock Vmax front wheel, but there's not a radial out there that will fit on the rear. So if you manage to get a 17" front wheel to work, you'll end up mixing a radial front tire and a bias ply rear tire--mucho bad.
 
From personal experience...R1 is weak...only do GSXR on the front.

Moved to correct forum. :thumbs up:

I am going to get an 18 for the front but it's 3.5" wide so I can run a 120 on it...

This way I don't have to mess with fender changes and speedo pickup changes...
