Translation as follows:

The legendary V-Max saw its last hours this year! This big four-cylinder V Euro3 will not pass the new anti-pollution standards in 2017. To take advantage of its 200 horses it's now or never!

"Elevator to the horses ...", was the description we discovered of the latest incarnation of the legendary VMax in 2008.
And horses, with no less than 200 contained in the 4 cylinder V of 1679 cm3, we lacked indeed point on Californian roads where was presented as the new custom standard at the time.
Unfortunately, passing on the other side of the Atlantic there remained only 106 (France only - MM)... until a few weeks ago with validation (finally!) by the authorities of the famous Retrofit authorizing unrestricted bikes Euro3 equipped with ABS.
In 2016 the VMax ABS allowed us to appreciate it as it had originally been developed for the rest of the world, but it will not last!
Following the introduction of Euro4 pollution standards Yamaha confirms today that after 32 years of existence the model will bow in 2017. The swan song.

VMAX 2017: Getting too expensive to standards?

However, the VMAX 1700 will not disappear immediately. Concessions next year allow a Euro3 vehicle sales quota in 2017 based on registrations made during the year 2016 thus the remaining stocks will not be Euro4 compliant.

Out of fashion, minimal interest and an expensive to upgrade a single engine in the Yamaha range for Europe the Japanese manufacturer has decided the future of the Power Cruiser (the first Japanese bike, before sports bike, to make 200 horses in 2008).
So to enjoy the exuberance of this model that marked the modern history of the motorcycle it's now or never ... at least if its aficionados are able to pay € 20 999 for the standard version (2015 model) and € 21 999 for the anniversary model celebrating 60 years of the brand.
This should logically become a collector, advice to collectors (wealthy)!
