Got some new pics of my Max today and i was going thru the forum seeing how lots of you guys have gone for aftermarket exhausts , which leads me to this question . What is the life cycle of a stock Vmax exhaust (as i do rather like it ) is there any problems to be had with them ? Here is a couple of pics of my bike which should be in my posession in 7 weeks (has been along time coming ):ummm:

I've seen 85's with pretty nice looking stock exhausts on them. The chrome is well done so if you keep it clean they should last as long as you want.

During the off months spray some WD-40 inside them. That may keep them from rusting from the inside out which usually happens to exhaust.

Leaving it outside though WILL cause them to go faster than if stored inside.

A friend of mine spent some time polishing his shitty looking 85 exhaust and I had to ask him if he bought a new one.

Seans right, chrome is of very good quality, would last forever if taken care of...
