My idea, book rooms at Little River Casino in Manistee, take the great and scenic ride from there, around Lelanau Peninsula and back to Manistee and party in the Manistee area. That is something even an old guy like me could handle. Done it before and it was greeat!:clapping:

I'm interested, not sure i will be in town or if my bike will be back together!! So i can't commit to the lodging, but i have property near there so if i don't know until the last minute i will at least have a place to stay.

The casino is a great idea but the rooms are over $100 a nite. The micro motel is $80 a nite with aaa. or we could take over a cheep motel parking lot. It would be nice if we could find a place with a fire pit. I need to know who wants to go and what your home town is so i can plan a route. And a place to stay.

Its looking like this ride might turn into a three day ride. 4th 5th 6th. It might even start with the huron shoreline and work its way up and over. That way we can go a slower pace and take it all in.

This ride is starting to take shape. We will be meeting at mcdanalds at exit 54 at 8am. We will take us-23 to bay city and than take the huron shoreline to cheboygan mi and than over to Cross Village on the lake michigan shoreline. Than over to leelanau. This is the just of the ride as we dont want any plans on this ride. We will be stoping when we want to. And we will get lodging when we need to. If you want to go let me know so i can plan a meet place so we can meet up with you. We have a meet place set up in roger's city for a guy from the U-P. This ride will be all about riding the shoreline and taking it all in.......MIKE

The meet time at the birch run mobil gas station at exit 136 off us-23 is 9am. Make sure you top off your fuel tank. It's 95 miles to east tawas and east tawas is our next fuel stop. If your bike wont make it 95 miles i need to know that now so i can set up a stop for you. If anyone else is going that needs a meet spot in route let me know. As of right now we have three meet spots (whitmore lake mi, birch run mi, rogers city mi,).

The meet place for rogers city mi will be the mobil gas station on the corner of 68 and 23. make sure you top of your tank.

The meet place for whitmore lake mi is the mcdonalds off exit 54
