It's not a "hole" it goes out as an encrypted (I think) HTTP request. Unless he is "sniffing" your connection and trying to resolve the IP he probably won't notice. Most IT monitor the system with a software program that has predefined filters of know websites, protocols, ports ( like file sharing ones). This shouldn't raise any flags.
