I am in search for nice quality and affordable motorcycle pants. These will go over work pants for my commute. Any suggestions?

I use a pair of Alpinestars Air Flo pants I like very much. They have a lot of mesh, but are armored. I checked a couple of online retailers and haven't found them yet, so they may not be current.

Check the reviews, there are a lot of them. $270.

I read Motorcycle Superstore is going out of business. They still are advertising. They don't have these currently.

Alpinestars A-10 Air-Flo Pants

Alpinestars Air-Flo system means maximum ventilation for riding with comfort and protection in hot conditions. Practical and convenient, combined with great styling and looks. Keep your cool and ride safely in the heat by pairing these with the T-GP-R Air or T-GP Plus Air Jacket.
Features:

  • 1200D and 600D Polyester Fabric construction with abrasion resistant
  • Air Flo mesh for maximum cooling
  • Removable CE approved GP knee and tibia protectors
  • Embroidered logos
  • Pre-curved construction for riding comfort
  • Waist zipper connection allows attachment to selected alpinestars leather and textile jackets
  • Removable knee slider covers

Thank you very much for the info! I appreciate the first hand review/recommendation.

I personally wear a pair of CB (polyester/spandex) Snowboarding pants for cold weather/rain riding.
They are fairly inexpensive and fit over my jeans.
I got mine on sale at a local ski shop for $29.
They are warm (I ride in temps as low as 35F) and kept me dry the few times I was caught in the rain.

I bought a pair of Fieldsheer Carboflex over-pants with armor for the exact same purpose. great quality products for a fair price.

I ordered (and returned) three different brands, styles, and sizes before I found some that fit properly, my suggestion is to find a dealer that is willing to let you try them before you take them. My local dealer didn't even charge me for return shipping, as long as I made good on a purchase in the end.
