Never raced a motorcycle on the drag strip but my nephew did yesterday. He goes to Thunder Valley in Noble, OK.

Not knowing anything about it, I asked him about changing gears, the high rev, and how he uses the clutch between gears. I was surprised when he said except for taking off in first, he does not use the clutch to go into second or any higher gear. He whips the throttle and changes gears real fast then back to wot.

Is this the way it is done?

Thats the way I do It I never touch the clutch after taking off !
