hello everyone!
i recently bought a vmax and it seems that the battery is dead and won't really hold a charge. was possible to jump but after trying to charge the battery and it not keeping the charge, I just ended up buying a new battery since the previous owner said they hadn't changed the battery since they first got the bike in the late 2000s.

I got an odyssey P680 and removed the seat but when i tried remove the bolts from the coil bracket, the bolts would just spin. when watching videos / looking at tutorials, i never saw anything like this happening. so i took a close look (i've attached photos) and saw that there were nuts underneath.

none of the wrenches or sockets i have can fit under there, so i'm wondering if anyone has any idea or suggestions on how to remove these. i tried going to home depot and buying some slim wrenches w/ sockets to hold it in place easily but even the smallest one is too large. any suggestions would be appreciated.

First gen Vmax? (2007 or earlier)

I had to do the same operation twice last year, and I don't recall needing any special tools.

The main reason for my reply is to suggest checking the regulator after you replace the battery. When I first acquired my first gen Vmax, it stranded me at the gas station. I replaced the battery, but it stranded me again before I figured out the rectifier/regulator was not working.

BTW I chose the same battery and I'm very pleased with it. Don't want to service it often cause it's not easy.
