Im not fond of riding in the left lane either, but I think that could happen in any lane.
Agreed!! But either instance would really suck, if that had been a motorcyclist!!!
Been behind an exploding tractor trailer tire, twice, always in a car/truck, not on a bike. I only collected small chunks, never a car wreck.
A teenaged female here in south FL got pinned into her seat by a piece of rebar in the chest, she lived. Gotta give credit to my local fire/rescue guys for that one.

Nice memories ( Not ) I was on my other Goldwing about 12 years ago going down I 45 in Houston when a tire came flying out from under the truck in front of me it fell off a trailer in front of him. I swerved to the left as far as I could & lifted up my leg. It done 2,000 bucks worth of damage to the right side of my bike but I stayed upright & did not get hurt so it was all good.
