what would cause coolant seap from waterpump?

i had a tiny little puddle under the bike yesterday. Never had seen it before. It was coming out of the little hole (drain hole?) I got stuck in rain last time I road it thursday dont know if that matters. Its not very much so im not to worried about it. any help is appreciated!

i dont have a clue my friend. i would suspect yud have to change out the entire water pump? idk for shure. im shure somebody knows. never had any issue with waterpumps on motorcycles.....and ive been riding for 30 ysr lol...:biglaugh:

Remove cap and check coolant level. If this is a confirmed seal leak..get it repaired..i blew an engine putting this off ..was on a long ride and coolant dropped below hose level so coolant was'nt circulating even though temp sensor did'nt show anything unusual. I would repair both seals while you're in there.

You can usually salvage the impeller Matt. But like we talked about, while your in there, you might as well do the bearing too. Or at least inspect it. I toss everything questionable and replace when I work on my Max.

Sorry yes I got it changed on Saturday. Was VERY VERY easy!! I took a bunch of pictures and already cropped things in paint program im gonna make a write up on it for everyone. Once I have the time! Hopefully today or tomorrow
