It wasn't me, just some friend's.
The funny part is SHE knew. But she's also the pres of the Streetfighters associatioin. Lady gearheads reshaping the uses for a dishwasher. Her soon to be husband is a great builder. This is from a new build.
Speaking of cleaning, I just bought this: http://www.harborfreight.com/21-oz-hopper-gravity-feed-spot-blaster-gun-95793.html
Yes it's little, but it does an OK job especially for the price. I went to HFT to look at the 20 lb. pressurized media blaster but they were out of that one. I don't want something bigger as I am trying to make use of limited space. Seeing the price, I figured I could always return it if it was a complete bust. When I used it w/my 10 cfm 60 gallon upright compressor, I was pleasantly surprised at how well it cut the white corrosion on cast aluminum pieces. I used 30 grade dried silica sand. I still intend to buy the 20 lb pressurized tank when they come in, but I got done what I needed to do w/this. A word of warning, do NOT try to use this or any media blaster w/o a hood, I also use a respirator. You need to protect your eyes and lungs!
I had some Home Depot yard sand, bagged, around, but the variety of sizes of grains in it kept clogging my gun, so I got the graded kiln-dried sand and that worked like a champ. I also tried Arm & Hammer bicarb. of soda and that is The Ticket for chrome pieces and more delicate pieces which may have deposits to be removed but not heavy rust. I did my Kerker VMax header pipes and it really cleaned them up nicely. Tomorrow I am going to the pool supply store to see if they have cheaper bags of bicarb/soda.
