Hi guys just finished the wider rear wheel. Now it goes for powdercoating

Mmmm matte black. A solid choice good sir!
 
Just wondering, when you weld the hollow spokes to the hub, don't you have to weld both sides to make it strong-enough? And, how can you do that?

Its the hub that is welded to the center section. Much of the center section his removed on the lathe and the new hub is machined to fit snug deep inside the center section. In order not to risk the hub to be welded twisted, a lip is left on the new hub that seats straight on the center section walls (you can see it). Its stronger than 6 bolts holding the sprocket. FYI Taylormade wheel cores are bolted in a sandwich way with M8 bolts and that is weaker and they never had an issue (rims disk is sandwiched by the drive hub and the rotor holder). Before going to Pcoat the wheel is checked for specs and straightness and only then it gets finished...

EDIT 1 - After i read it again i fully understood your question. The original hub is not damaged, Theres no welds on the spokes, if you look carefully the stock hub is still there, the new machined hub is fitted inside the stock hub... Hope i cleared everything up. I don't care much for keeping secrets on this because i don't live from it but I will not enter further details in respect for those who make them and offer them here in the forum for sale...
 
Well it is done... Just missing the dampers and bearings. Do you guys like it? My dog does like it, not just like it but lick it as well... :ummm: :rofl_200:

Love your puppy too! I got a collie about 7 months who acts like that. He spends a ridiculous amount of time licking the floor. :ummm:

At least you save on cleaning... :biglaugh:

The coating is done in the guys that check for straightness after the work is done. They're specialists on repairing rims...
