aux. turn signals

I want to put some led lights inside the scoops and wire them into the signals, i only have white lights so i was thinking about using that amber lens repair tape to cover the scoop grills, here's my question, by using the tape, there will be no air flow through the scoops, will that affect performance? :ummm:

I thought about the amber LEDs, but I was thinking that the tape would diffuse (spread?) the light to the whole grill area, as the amber LEDs would just have a light in one spot in the scoops, & add ambiance and help with the feng shui.

these arent the pics i was loking for but close enough. a guy did these on his 2010 that were very visible with running lights in the lower hole and signals in the upper. but they look decent
