We use conventional automotive paint when we do our freshly painted engines and I would say most of our customers are quite happy. Temps will get in the 200's F and maybe a little hotter nearest the exhaust ports.

Just wanted to let everyone know spraying into a small cup and then dipping a tiny brush into it seemed to work just fine. It wasn't too thin. It stuck to the exposed places just fine. Makes a world of difference when you step back. I'm sure if you examine it up close it won't look perfect, but for touch it's awesome. I did find out that using a disposable plastic cup can't take the paint. It eats right through it. So use a cup that you're ok with throwing away but won't get eaten up.

Good idea. I was just going for something a lil deeper so it would get hit with back spray and that would catch paint into one area versus 2. I think the cap has 2 sections, but I'm sure no biggie.
