Does anyone know if the carbs off a 98 will work on an 85?

Sean, a thread-jacking FYI. There's a Japanese company (Y's Gear) that is selling an aftermarket Gen II seat, the purpose generally being to effectively lower the bike without lowering it. I think they're getting about a 1-1/2" drop. The seats are pretty expensive, and a bitch to get hold of as they won't export them.

If you can get hold of a Gen II and/or a seat, might be a market you could tap.

Thanks for the link. I am not sure you can get much more then 1/2" out of the thing. I rode on Ricks seat that was done by UFO and a stock seat but not back to back so it was hard for me to remember the feeling between the two.

That bike on the site looks great by the way.
