I see coolant (anti freeze) on the outside of the motor.
I see it on the lower right side.
Just a little bit maybe 10 drops or so of coolant is lost.
Just trickles down a few hours after I shut motor down.

Checked level of coolant. ok

When I explained this to a local yamaha dealer they told me it was
the water pump seal and this is considered to be a normal thing with the vmax.

They said to replace the water pump seal and it wont happen again.

Does this info sound right to you ? If so how much labor is involved
to get this done ?:ummm: TiA !!

Inhale my V boost vapors .........

With the very little detail you told us.... here goes I am going to wing it..

I am betting its one of the hoses thats located to the cylinderhead.. I bet its leaking into the sparkplug hole which will seap down the block.. See if I am correct..

Most likely a loose clamp..

if its originating from the lower right (waterpump side), it could be from the weep hole under the pump. then indeed new seals would be in order. mine just started doing the same thing the end of last summer. i'm getting the waterpump housing chromed, rebuilding the internals and having "CLIMAX" etched into the flywheel of the pump. you'll be able to read it thru the otec cover when the bike isnt running. since we just got 8" of new snow, its gonna be a little while before install and pics.
