I took my 2000 Max out for the first time today. I've never ridden one of these beasts before and I'm amazed at how much power it has! It kicks ass! The only problem I have is that when I'm doing over 40mph and take 1 hand off of the bars they start to shake back and forth. My Nighthawk never did this. Is there something wrong with my bike? Do they all do this at this slow of a speed? Anything I can do to fix this? Thanks!

Your steering head bearings are probably shot.

Do a search in the suspension forum, lots of good info there.

Do some searching here on the forum about adjusting your steering stem bearing or the bounce test or bounce method. There are a few possible causes of your issue but the most common fix is as simple as tightening the steering stem bearings.
