front head removal

Hi Everyone. I have something going on in my #2 cylinder. one time I will have .012 on the exhaust valve and another time I will have .009. So I am going ot take the head off.. but I was wondering if anyone has ever taken the head off on the bike?

I have heard it can be done by removing the studs to let the head slide out. Sounds like you may have a valve spring that is broken?? I can sell you some ARP studs that will make life easier when you go back on with it (they have an allen drive in the end of them to put them back in).

thanks sean. I ended up just taking out the motor. did not find a broken spring. still have to check free hieght yet and pressure.
