Got very lucky

Blasting home today after work and get pulled over IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE. 72 in a 55--- fine is double in the zones. The NHP trooper is nice enough and we talked bikes for a monent. Then he takes forever in his car and I thinking the worst. When he come back he lets me off with a fix-it ticket as the only insurance card I could was just a month out of date. I actually had the current one in my wallet.

So a fax( or at worst a visit) the the court and a small fee and I golden.

BTW: the fine for no insurance in Nevada is $720

+1, or else he might have let you slide with a warning (he might have just got dusted by a max). I've had good luck with State Troopers. They tend to not bust balls as much as the Hooterville PD. I had one pass me last night, right after I had just cleaned the carbon out on a stretch of highway. I didn't know he was there till I slowed down for traffic. He never looked at me. I think I'll buy a Power Ball Ticket today.
