Any suggestions on replacement horn(s) for a 1995 VMAX? The one that is on there now sounds like a dying mosquito. Thanks - Neal

I recently had to put a new horn on my max for inspection. I called the dealer for the cost of a new horn. The factory yamaha horn was around $100.00:surprise:. Then they offered me a universal horn for $9.95. It fit nicely , and goes beep, beep just fine.:eusa_dance:

One of the doctors i work with wired up an air horn off a truck, says it got more than 1 persons attention when making lane changes with out looking.

If you are looking for a stock replacement, I have one that I took off of mine that I will give to you.

Check for Denso, Stebel, Wolo or Fiamm.
You will end up with a very good and loud horn.

I use a Denso twin set which is around 130db. Perfect to be noticed.

An advice, try to get not too cheap on ebay from china. Those won't keep long.

Michael , where did you mount them ? Pics ?

The horns on the pic are not the current ones but the location will be the same.
Those previous horns were HUGE truck horns lol I just didn't like the sound.
