Is 10 Ga. monster wire too thick ?

Why do you not want to use regular automotive wire? Like Sean said, it's multistrand copper wiring, like I'm sure the OE wires are.

I have 10Ga. monster cable comming from the regulator to the battery pos. & neg. terminals so, I just wanted the same kind of cable going into the regulator with the multi strand and O2 free and all , I just want better cables for my bike.
I`m going to start tearin` it down to paint the frame and engine and polishing the scoops and covers and detail work on it, I want to do the electrical stuff first.
