Looking to fab up a short(pass) backrest

Im thinking about fabing up a short backrest like the ones you see on a v-rod, my wife has a virago 535 and the short backrest looks sweet anybody ever make one/ JIM:eusa_dance:

You mean like this one? It is pretty much what I am looking for. It keeps the sporty/hotrod look but gives the wife the "feel good" feeling that she won't slide off the back...hehehe

I think it will be hard to make it look factory if thats what your going for. I have often wished there were some on the market too. I would like it for attaching a small bag atleast.

yep thats the pic,and the gen 2 max also has 1, i going to try to modify the stock grab bar and make a shorty this spring. Hoping somebody else has tryed this to let me know what works.

yes those backrest look far better than the huge OEM one of the Gen1, which I will never put on my bike

I believe it was Przemek had made a really nice one using a virago grabrail and just bolted up a pad. Looked great.

yes, that looked very nice. looked a lot like a renntec but w/out the extra hardware.

More pics from my combined sissy bar, now in black

Its a simple mod, some plywood, sponge and syntehic skin covering.
Need to drill 3 holes through Virago rail for M6 bolts, to hold the pad.
If anyone wants some more details please ask here.
