That's what I would have said. What was he lifting, a fiberglass pool? Couldn't be that heavy but he was extended out pretty far. I'd be surprised if a four inch driveway slab would support the front outriggers! We ALWAYS spread out the load with lots of dunnage.

OOPS for sure! Looks like they did not add enough counter weight.

Here are a couple shots of a typical building set for us. The road was pretty good on this site. Only 1 dozer required. The building is 12' x 30' x 10'. This is a lightweight version and comes in around 57,000 lbs. The typical building is not panelized, it is solid precast, and they weigh around 72,000 lbs when they are on the hook.

Topping off a 300' tower with a crane that is a touch too short. The last 20' of steel was rigged in the center, raised horizontally, then jacked vertically.

Always wondered how they build those high radio towers, and why people maintain them
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZfBrNtbP2c

I ve watched that before and at first I thought they were so far up the earth was round! But then I realized its the go pro camera they are using as mine makes things round too.

But still, its an actual movie that made me feel queasy watching it. Big balls to those guys. I could never do that.
