I knew it was a Laverda as soon as I saw the cyl & head, no-need to read the sidecover. It resembles a Honda Superhawk, but w/an additional cyl & larger displacement. The Italians weren't above copying a good design. The Benelli Sei looked like a SOHC Honda 500/550.

Awhile ago I posted another similar design on here. I would say these are good designs when the spouse doesn't like motorcycles but still wants to go along on the same chassis, or if the passenger has significant physical limitations.
