Did several searches and couldn't find an answer. My starter switch is starting to stick. It slowing returns to the normal position after pushing in. I can feel drag when pushing it in. It hasn't affected my starting yet but I'm guessing it will soon.

Is there a procedure (sticky) for cleaning out the switch or is it obvious after getting into it?

It's a pretty easy procedure. Watch out for the the little spring and ball when you dis-assemble the switch. I cleaned mine with some wd40 and put a little dielectric grease on the contact side. It works very smooth now where it was sticking on and keeping the starter engaging after startup.

You can try the poor man's approach by spraying WD-40 in around the switch to see if that works. Firewrench's post is the proper way to clean it though.
