stripped threads?

got a problem.....I decided to have a look at a friend of mine who recently purchased an 85 vmax and the possible reason why it was running so terribly...I noticed that cyclinder number 4 carb was missing an A/F screw???? Anyway he purchased another one and behold it will not catch any threads inside that chamber...I'm thinking that the threads are gone from inside the body....Anyone have a solution for this besides the obvious ( carb replacement )


If the carb needs to be replaced ....would anyone here have one that's willing to sell it??

I believe Morley can repair them. I may have a spare available. As long as you only want the body...a lot of the innards are missing.

I have the proper tap so it may be possible to JB weld the threads up. I do have a few core carb sets too but it seems like it's always one of the right side carbs that are bad.
