supertrapp mod

[diddly squat]

i have tried all kind of different disc mods and was wondering if anyone has tried a drilled end cap w/packing and no discs.
this would shoot the exhaust straight out instead of diverting it to the sides.
i want packing, because i am not into a real loud bike.

anyone done something similar?

I have the Open End Cap with NO Discs on mine now (see picture below).
It is pretty Loud but Not unbearable.

i had a 4 into one with a supertrapp on my 82 yammie seca 750. i had 7 disks plus i drilled out the endcap. it sounded really sweet.

i love the supertrapp slip ons on the vmax....:eclipsee_gold_cup:

yeah, i did that and not only is it too loud for my tastes, but it was cutting out a bit at around 8k, like it needed more gas because of the free flow.
rather just restrict it a bit and keep the cops away for now. :biglaugh:

^ LOL, Mine is loud but nowhere near as loud as some of the Harleys my buddies ride.
And running the open caps shouldn't hurt your top end if anything it should increase top end HP but lower the low end torque slightly.
With the Open caps you are actually running a bit richer than with the closed caps.

Nowhere near as good as a full Kerker, though. I still have the Supertrapps on mine but have a Kerker 4-1 that will be going on soon. My friend's VMax has a Kerker and it is righteous.
