When crack the gas in any gear it takes the bike a second to catch up with the rpm's,feels like the clutch is slippin. Anyone have any insite into this? I have a 94 vmax with 4 into 1 hindle exhaust,k&n filter and I run vboost wide open. Thanks everyone.

What mileage do you have on the plates?
If it was clutch slip you would hear the revs rise without any increase in speed; is this what you are experiencing?

Assuming it is clutch slip:
  • Have you changed to a diffferent oil recently?
  • Is the m/c piston fully returning i.e. there is no pressure build up in the system?
  • If these are the original plates are they near or at the wear limit?

Drain the fuel out of the bowls of the carbs. Could be moisture gets sucked up when you accelerate. Worth looking into. And only takes a few minutes.

Never mind I thought your bike was. Sputtering when you get on it.

Clutch is slipping it seems. To test, sit on it and put front wheel against wall. Shift to fifth, 4000 rpms and dump clutch. If clutch is ok will stall.
