Bike was running well at the beginning of the season. But I had to leave for 6 weeks for business, I didnt 'winterize' the bike since I was supposed to be back in 2 weeks but testing problems drug the out of town out 4 weeks.. ugh.

Now I get back and the bike starts fine, but whenever I try and add throttle, blip or slow roll it stutters and will occasionally die if i don't get off the throttle!

Any Idea's? Any good V-max mechanics in the SE Michigan?

Time for either the "Shotgun" method to clean the carbs, or some VERY good carb cleaner.

What would be considered VERY good carb cleaner? I don't have an air compressor to do the Shotgun with. :ummm::bang head:

I like BG-44. 1 can will treat 12 gallons so pour in a 3rd of a can. I know some people on here that will run out that tankful, fill back up and pour in another 3rd of a can, and do the same routine a 3rd time. That way the carbs are really clean, and should stay gum free for the riding season.

BG-44 is 20 to 25 dollars depending on where you get it.
