Throttle tube measurements

Would one of you fine gents please measure the length of the plastic throttle tube, end to end. I think mine has been cut down, if so I need to buy another.

EDIT:I just searched the micro fiche and apparently you cant buy the throttle tube .

I dont see any way to cut that tube down and get it to work, so I doubt that it has been cut down. What is the probleem that you are having?

It only measures 4 3/8 inch from the housing to the end of the bar. My new grips are way longer. I'm searching the forum now for threads on what tube can be used, like maybe a sport bike one or even an aluminum tube.

oops , I thought you were talking about the throttle cable connecting tube

Make a pvc spacer and fit into the grip. I had to do that for my Kury's.

I might have to, I'm not having any luck with a search for aluminum sleeves or oem replacements.:confused2:

I just went to a motorcycle salvage place and bought a cheap 7/8 tube and cut a chunk of it off and fitted it into the grip. Works awesome

I bought a throttle tube but it comes with the OEM grip also.

Thats what I figured from the micro fiche, sucks it comes with the grip I dont need.
Anyone need a grip?
