Is there anyone on the board close to me who knows how to check the valve and adjust them if needed?
I'm in Corning NY but will travel.
I need to replace my valve cover gaskets and figured it would be a good time to check the valve clearances.
The local dealer (as with all dealers....bikes or cars) kill ya on the labor costs!
I dont expect a freebee (wouldnt turn one down tho....lol)

Sorry man not close but, if you have any aptitude of mechanical ability it is a pretty routine job. All you need is the basic hand tools, feeler gauge for measuring gap, and the shim tool. I use a regular screw driver (a little tedious but gets job done) to press VS buckets to swap shim if needed. Depending on last check generally you are within the +/- variant allowed but definitly worth the check. Any more help on DIY let me know I just did mine about 600 miles ago. Roy
