Hello all, so I am wondering what controls the V-Boost? I keep noticing the V-Boost retard after 7K when I very slowly open the throttle. Perhaps my stock set up is still spot-on and I am subconscious relaxing the throttle and the RPM reduce. But it still feels like the boost is closing and I want to know if it is controlled through the bikes electical system or vacuum that controls the servo valve. Please note, that under normal riding conditions the boost works GREAT like a turbo!!!I am going to get some starting fluid and look for vacuum leaks as my 1994 is all stock. Thanks everyone.

Vboost controller controls it via ignition signal from one of the ignition coils.

Interesting....the rear are easy to get to, but I heard major tears own to get to the front. Seams like it would run off the #1 cylinder. And why would it partially close the servo valve, smooth at that, no chugging or cutting out, best description is when you car shifts into 3rd gear.

I'm not quite following what's happening from what you say?
Your vboost valves should start opening at 5750rpm and be fully open by 8000rpm. The speed of the coil pulses is the source signal that the control box (located under left scoop) uses to send a signal to the vboost motor that actuates the valves.
Often vboost problems can be traced to the control box, as when it gets old some of the solder joints can crack because of heat/cold/vibrations/age. If you're noticing a problem the easiest way to diagnose is to get another vboost controller box on loan and swap it to see if your problem goes away.
I believe Sean Morley can help you with that, or Kyle Clegg may also have a S/H one for you.

Hey NaughtyG, the info you gave was what I was looking for I think. When in the highway I slowly roll the throttle until the 58k RPM and then just a cunt-hair more. The RPMS spike up to 7K and then back down to 6200-6500 RPM. But very smooth, just as if I rolled the throttle closed a cunt-hair. As I said before maybe it is just the subconscious playing tricks on me, the power band is great, idle is smooth, she will go 11000RPM if I let her without spitting sputtering or anything. Even on decel, smooth occasionally I hear a pop but not a backfire. I am going to try starting fluid this weekend, but kind of Leary about the starting fluid drying out my allready dry rubber parts. Do you think WD-40 would work?

If you have dry rubber parts (I assume you mean the boots above and below the carbs) it's very likely that some may be cracked resulting in air leaks, which would explain your problems including the pops on desceleration. I would contact Sean or Kyle here and see if they have replacements in better condition.

And you move your throttle by cunt-hairs? LOL Haven't heard that one before but that's really funny. Is a cunt-hair more or less throttle movement than a man-pube? :rofl_200::rofl_200::rofl_200:

A cunt hair is much less than a man-pube, almost 10:1 ratio. Just look any any porn site or REDBONE's avatar and you will have to look realy carefull for the cunt-hair I speak of..
