whats the difference 85-06

hi i have been looking for a max to buy but what is the difference year to year
been looking at 06

but seeing 99-01 at about half the price all over the net

so what do i need to look for

I reckon that '99 and up is pretty sweet.

I do not believe there were any changes other than cosmetic after '03

You wanna make sure it hasn't sat too long, has not been modified too heavily/raced/trashed, and that it doesn't pop out of 2nd gear on WOT.

After 93`the fork tubes are wider also to help with the wobble issue.
As I did , you will probably find things on any bike you buy like most of us have, I have just finished up fixing all of my P.O. issues and now all that is left to do is some carb fine tuning but half the fun of owning the max is tinkering and doing modifications to it , thats what makes it yours.
but I would try to get one after 93`. Mine is an 01 and I love it.
