06 rectifier

picked up a yamaha R-1 rectifier on fleabay cheap. from an 06 bike. Any thoughts on WHERE i can mount this big sob? how hot would it get?
I have a Z-1000 fairing on the bike and maybe can hide it there where the original headlight would be Or maybe under the exactrep tailpiece?
anyone have this thing hooked up please PM me as i am lost on wiring it in.

i guess i should have looked before asking. have now seen the sticky.
maybe can talk rusty into coming by for a tech day and help me wire it in.
