Gday all.
We had our first round in our season yesterday. I was working, but a mate needed a ride for the first meet. His 1640 Katana was still waiting on assembly with the new billet block, his son's GSXR750 longbike still isn't ready from the off-season (something about me not completing his sidewinder pipe or some such crap!), he sold the Gen II Max over winter, his GS1150EFE longbike didn't have a clutch, BUT.......
his girlfriends old-girl Gen I Vmax was sitting in the shed covered up under a tarp, just sitting there.......
After making sure it still started after nearly 2 years under cover, he flashed the thing up, checked it still had oil pressure, rode to the track, then let her rip.
60ft...1.79 (off-idle launch, he was being gentle!)
660ft...6.84 @ 109mph
1/4...10.505 @ 133mph.
1260cc, mild Web cams, chain drive, St 7.
Mine's still broken. :bang head:
You were right Sean, looks like the stator cover and starter on my old '87. Hopefully have it going before Xmas one year! lol :rofl_200:
