I'm new to the max world so i'm still learning. But how is it yamaha says the max has 145 hp, and all the posts I see say they get dyno results of 115 or so. Does the Vboost not show up on the dyno? I was talking to a guy I work with, and he said they usually don't go above 6k on the tach on a dyno. But then again with all the Tboosts out there that kick in starting at 3k...?
Can some one help me understand this?

Horse power at the crank and horse power at the rear wheel are two different things.Power is used up to turn the tranny and driveshaft. And they do wind it up more than 6ooorpm's.Harley's don't because that is past their redlines.

yeah most companies announce the crank to impress. Think of Rear Wheel Horsepower (RWHP) as the true indicator. Or the real world horse power, because thats what you actually get
