How do you get the RPM sensor to work on a bike with COP's coils when having a dyno test done?

Do the dyno guys have another way than clamping around plug wire to get RPM's?

I think they use a different kind of inductive pickup. They are so common that the machines come with the connections needed for most bikes.

Watched 'em on my wifes car, they just clipped on to one of the trigger wires or whatever going to the COP, smaller clamp than the one they use for the main plug wire........

Are these COP's just like the cars? The cars have full time pos. and neg. 12Vdc at all times, and a built in Transistor that a signal wire turns on and off to fire the coil....total of three wires...
