electrical problem

i went for a ride came home found out that the fuel pump was no longer working would have to push start the bike to get it to run shut her down washed it and turned the key on and nothing no headlight,instrument lights or anything anybody have any suggestions? thanks
 
Its not the main fuse ,it is one of the smaller fuses up on the left side.44 Magnum just had this problem too.
 
thanks guys but all fuses are good any other suggestions? could the fuel pump possibly have burned out the ignition switch?:ummm:

Your Start button could be all corroded or full of crap. When that happens, the bike acts like it is dead. The quick poor mans fix is to spray WD40 into it to see if that corrects the problem. You can take it apart too, but I believe there is a little ball bearing that is spring mounted that flies out and is usually impossible to find!
 
thanks for your help, come to find out the fuel pump heated things up and caused the ignition switch to burn up.
