Will a 1996 stock exhaust system fit a 1985 bike with no mods to the bike or the ehaust system?

It will fit. Only difference I've heard (can't confirm myself) is that the '85 exhaust had a 1mm larger ID on the muffler outlet.

Yes and yes! lol. '86+ had larger vboost runners to combat the difference.
