MY 97 VMAX HAS SOME CORROSION ON THE AIR SCOOPS(FAKE) . WHATS THE BEST WAY TO RE FINISH THEM? ONE OTHER SPOT BY THE HEADLIGHT HAS COME THROUGH THE CLEAR BUT I CAN JUST POLISH THAT OUT. HELP:bang head:

So many choices..

- you can get them chromed (by Sean Morley is best)
- you can get them powder coated
- you can paint them
- you can polish them (but you'll have to keep doing it, a lot)
- you can replace them with carbon fiber ones - nice

Oh, and welcome! Introduce yerself, stick up a pic or two of your ride :)

Chrome is the best along with a lot of TLC and Carnuba...

FL salt air is KILLER on them.

Hi and welcome to the VMF. I live in St. Petersburg but not near the beaches. I know in some areas corrosion really eats things up in a hurry.

Your choices should be based on the amount of corrosion you have. If it can be polished out, all the options are available to you. Mine are painted right now and I'm looking at adding some sheet metal to them for a radical look, Big Scoops. If that doesn't work out I'll do one of the other things naughtyG mentioned.
