Hi All...I need to put new oil in my gen2 2012 that has a slight clutch slip problem. I'm using the yamalube fully synthetic just now and when i whack it open it the rpm climbs and then settles down and then accelerates....slight slippage....please suggest which of these 3 will cure the problem.
Thank you...

How many miles on it and have you done any mods like a flash, etc.? Might be time to look into the 'Double-D Mod' and why would you not try a semi-synthetic or conventional oil to see if that cures it.

I know some people have claimed to have issues with the Motul but that was their 300V line.

Everyone has different opinions but from my research I went with oil that tends to be good on engines running hot like air cooled (yes I know it is water cooled). Just like knowing it is more resistant to oil high temperatures cause VMAX runs hot in my opinion 🤷🏻‍♂️ but I am a new rider… So take that into consideration.

I also put some Prolong in as an additive with no clutch slipping 👍… Probably not recommended but I started using it back when it came out and my 2010 Toyota Sienna looked like a new engine after 10 years (80k miles) when they took a look in for service inspection included with purchase… Asked what I was putting in other than regular oil changes included in package (just Prolong and seafoam (every now and then))… So I kinda put Prolong in all my vehicles for oil changes… 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have a feeling I may get roasted for this post but 🤷🏻‍♂️

A friend of mine (owns 5 Gen2, couple of Gen1 etc) recommends: Castrol GTX 10W40. I use it, never had clutch slipping (Nashflash, DD Mod).

Nash flash and 43000km.
Regular oil and filters changed.
Now going to use amsoil and liquimoly.
