all yer getting is the endcap....that photo is deceptive.
 
That ad looks like it's just one endcap and no discs. Endcaps are pretty cheap at Summit, you can also get the discs without breaking the bank (under $30 for 12 of them). I ran them on my bike a few years back. I liked them cause they gave the pipes a "finished" look for just $40 for a pair.

I'm still exploring my options here, but I'm leading toward the 'open' end cap and no disks. I've found what I think are two options for end caps. One is a three inch and one four. 3" apparently has a flow roughly equal to 6-8 discs. That sounds perfect. Can I attach these with regular metric bolts? Or are they in some way unique? Does anyone have a part number for these? Tough to order this stuff in Canada

get stainless steel if you can...and make shure to put anti sieze on the threads.....if they ever get frozen in there yull have a mess like i do....:damn angry:

places like home depot or lowes should have em.....hardware shops perhaps

Think the 3" and 4" are for different mufflers. The 4" fit the V-Max slip-ons. Been a while but pretty sure the 3" won't fit the Max mufflers.
