I will be installing broomstick drag bars next week and I have never done this before. Is there anything I need to know before I begin? ie. special tools to remove grips etc etc Thanks!

Have you already bought the bars?
I tried broomstick and went with a slight bend, the broomsticks hurt my wrists after a short while. :jerk it:

I got some warm dishsoap water and a small flat head screwdriver with tape on the tip.
Take everything off, leave bars on bike then wedge up the grip a smidge, squirt bottle on stream get up inside the grip and start twistin'.

People do it all kinds of different ways, WD40, etc.

More will chime in.

I just started twisting to get the grips off, I didn't need any WD-40 or anything. *Shrugs*

Must measure and re-measure when you putting your new bars on. I was very picky and made sure everything was symetrical from side to side with the new bars.
